Content is King

You can analyze your web traffic all you like, but knowing how long people (don’t) spend on your page isn’t going to tell you why your content isn’t compelling.

Your content has to be a priority. Our average attention span is less than eight seconds now. People will keep reading, or listening, or looking at your infographic for longer than that - but it has to grab them in the first place.

I’m in favor of analytics and measuring what is working. But before you buy more google ads, or sit with your data for hours, take a look at what your prospective buyers and clients see on your landing page; consider making improvements there and monitoring the results.

Last, edit out whatever is not good content. Bad design and not-good content is sort of like a big coffee stain on fresh dry cleaning.
